Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) [Ryton®]
Properties
- Chemical-resistant
- Absorbs minimal moisture
- Low coefficient of linear thermal expansion
- Ideally suited to precise-tolerance machined components
- Grades include (1) 40% glass-reinforced PPS for excellent dimensional stability and thermal performance and (2) Bearing-grade PPS is internally lubricated and carbon fiber-reinforced for thrust or wear applications or when an electrically conductive material is required
